Not to shabby Review by Tabatha
Product
Bought this phone a year ago after the original 1st ZTE just quit working. I love this phone it's durable and reliable except for the past month or two now I have these horizontal lines that are multi colored and it's hard to see the screen. Have done a reset and cleaned up memory on the phone and still have this problem. But overall I love it, will buy another one if I need too. (Posted on 1/29/2017)
UME BROWSER BY TIGER CHOU Review by Richard
Product
IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE THIS MALWARE IS BUILT IN: UME BROWSER BY TIGER CHOU. THE SALES PERSON PERSONAL PHONE HAD IT AND THE DEMO HAD IT. I HAD TO DO TWO FACTORY RESETS BEFORE I FINALLY GOT RID OF IT. LOOK FOR IT IN GOOGLE PLAY STORE ON YOUR PHONE. EVEN GOOGLE TOLD ME THST IT IS HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. (Posted on 10/31/2016)

I like my phone alot have had it since February. I've noticed I can't always save music, pics or to SD card. my sd card rarely asks me for write access. I can't move apps to sd card card option is grayed out. Notice on some apps for audio i have no sound. no ringtone or notification alert. Google chrome is so slow on mobile. I use Firefox instead. feel like Dolby digial audio could be louder. overall I'm pleased with this phone. it's a recommendation to try it. (Posted on 8/13/2016)
Great Phone Review by EricwithCheese
Product
I love my ZMax 2. It's screen is large and gorgeous and is fast to open and run apps. Sound quality is fine, and the Dolby Digital really makes a huge difference in music playback. The only drawback I have is the launcher the phone uses will not display icons of apps that have been moved to the memory card, but will continue to display the ones in the phone storage. It would be nice if an update would address this. This is more of a personal preference and not in any way detrimental to the functionality of the phone itself.

Otherwise, a great, great phone and highly recommended. (Posted on 5/25/2016)
Nice phone Review by rach
Product
I change in and out of phones, this phone met most expectations for a low cost smartphone, my complaints are, video quality and no way to shut the sound off of it when you record. Camera is not good, but thankfully there are apps for that, Screen size and vividness was better then some so called flagship phones, the Dolby digital plus beat out Asus Zenphone 2's sound and video streaming as I compared both, I chose Zte over that one. This still is my go to phone every time I get another Android, I'm not a fan of IPhone's as I had the 6. I don't like Samsung's Galaxy's battery life, this beat them out by far. Good job Zte for making a nice fast phone with a great price tag for us. Unlocked or locked you will like this phone, (Posted on 5/6/2016)
Really want to like it Review by mddaddy
Product
Over two months, I have struggled to resolve reoccurring wired headset problems..
Three different sets, all fully functional on several other Android phones, including ZTE Maven, cause the Zmax 2 to do really strange, annoying things.
With Android compatible headsets plugged in, it will:
1. Automatically redial last call dialed or received
2. Send texts automatically (no Send required), one character at a time
3. Cause a popping sounds between songs during music playback
4. Automatically mute sound between songs
5. Cause the volume level drop-down to repeatedly appear and disappear
6. Even cause the phone to boot into "safe mode" on a couple of occasions

I can't narrow the problem to specific apps because the "Disable" button is grayed out for the pre-installed Google apps. AT&T send a warranty replacement, and it had the same headset issues. ZTE claims this is not a known problem.

I just want to listen to some tunes at work, and not have to uplug the headset after each call, or to send a text..

Excellent Value Review by Frank

Great smartphone for the price. Also have an iPhone 6s Plus but wanted to see what Android system is like and it's fine too. ZMax 2 does 90% of what my iPhone does at 10% the cost. (Posted on 4/1/2016)
Great no contract phone Review by Tina
Product
I like this phone. I don't like contracts. I read good reviews for this phone so I thought I would try it. It's much bigger than the Nokia. At first I thought it was too big, but not anymore because now I can actually see what I am doing instead of working with tiny print. The phone has what I need and a lot more than the Nokia. I can finally get the apps I need. The Yahoo app works great, I don't miss emails with the alerts. I like that it has separate volume controls for the ringer, notifications, media, and alarm. It's a little tricky removing the back cover. Any accessories you order for this phone should be for the ZMax 2 Z958. Watch out for the setting for a narrator talk back mode. Unless you are disabled and need it, do not activate it. I thought it was like the Nokia where it announced my calls. I was wrong. It just kept talking and talking. I could not get into my home screen because I have a password set up and the screen locked. Each time I swiped to try to get in, it kept wanting to call 911. I had to go to the AT&T store and get them to turn it off. They had a hard time swiping the screen to get to the settings. It took a long time. To Stephen: I'm using a Duracell retractable car charger I had for my old Nokia. It was only about $15 at Sears. Kmart has positive reviews, but there are some negative reviews on Amazon. My husband and I each have one for at least 2 yrs and we have had no problems with ours. I just got this ZMax 2 and ordered a plain S-line TPU soft gel case on Ebay. That's what I had before with my Nokia. I had luck with it, it's not hard plastic so it won't crack. My phone used to get bounced around a lot and it worked for me. At first the buttons are a little hard to press, but after a while it softens up and they are much easier to work with. I haven't seen any cases for this phone that got rave reviews so I'll stick with what I know and maybe get something else later on. (Posted on 2/23/2016)
So far so good Review by Stephen
Product
My first smart phone. Battery life and talk time excellent. good sound quality for conversations. Have owned it for about 10 days. It's hard to find cases for it at brick and mortar .stores. Can anybody recommend a good case? Also, what type car charger should I get? (Posted on 2/14/2016)
