lack of memory make this phone unusable!! Review by arnold000
It is unthinkable that you can't actually use the external sd card on this phone. I can't even receive my messages because the phone memory is full with no extra apps installed! No rooting, no way to move anything to the sd card to make some space available... Crazy and unaceptable: address it damned! (Posted on 5/18/2015)
nothing more than a Google Tracking device Review by Will
I love my lil zte v768, the main reason I figured I'd buy another when I switched to ATT.. well they must have received a HUGE amount of $$ to lock the google apps always on. So basically Google now has a constant data flow of what your doing.. you can turn some settings "off" but you can not uninstall or disable any of the Google Apps. To boot it's not rootable..which is a huge MINUS.. I have tools built that allowed me to ftp my docs, video's and music to all my devices.. the droid headunit in my car, and other droid tablets and phones.. this phone and kit-kat will be gone ASAP. and I will not venture into buying another zte phone ever again.. Expandable Memory... MYTH! Review by Frustrated Customer
I bought this as a replacement go phone device mainly based on 2 main factors: 1: 4G LTE and 2. Expandable Memory. Love the 4G LTE but EXTREMELLY FRUSTRATED with the inability to use the SD Card solely for multimedia but nothing for app management. I do understand that this is a limitation of the Android KitKat OS; however, its no excuse because I have read where other manufacturers/providers released an update that allowed its subscribers to use the SD Card for app management. IT GOES TO SHOW YOU WHERE THIS COMPANIES APPRECIATION FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS STAND. If they cared about their customers they would have found that update or workaround. There have been some third party apps created to workaround the KitKat issue; however, they require root access which is completely understandable but of all the phones out in circulation, this particular phone of just a few phones, does NOT have a successful method root, so even the third party apps designed to address the KitKat OS issue is useless to the owners of this phone. ZTE, JUST STEP UP AND AT LEAST ACT LIKE YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS. WE GAVE YOU OUR MONEY SHOWING WE TRUST IN YOUR PRODUCT AND COMPANY. ITS YOUR TURN TO STAND BY IT! (Posted on 3/11/2015)
Nice Phone - Needs More Internal Memory Review by Dennis
This little phone is actually pretty good except they stopped short of giving it more internal memory. You can't transfer any apps to the SD card which then eats up the small amount of internal memory and causes the phone to error. Come on ZTE, you developed a good little phone, then you screwed us on the internal memory. Charge me the extra $20 for more memory, I'll pay it!! (Posted on 3/6/2015)
Good phone, except the SD issue. Review by FIX THE ISSUE!
I got this phone about a week ago. The one time I don't research a phone before I buy it and sure enough... there's an issue. Overall, this is a nice little phone. The speed, features, and look all fit what I was looking for. The problem is that even though it says it's expandable, it's not! I can put photos and music on my SD. I'm sorry, but as a business, you have an obligation to either fix the issue or issue a statement and let your customers know what your definition of expandable is in this day technology. This is not what part-time expect when they read your product description. (Posted on 2/15/2015)
storage not expandable Review by willis
Contrary to the manual claims and advertised specifications, storage on this phone IS NOT expandable. If you put an SD card in it, nothing can be stored on it. It is not possible to move data or apps to it. (Posted on 2/7/2015)
very basic starter phone Review by Charlie
I'm happy with the speed, controls, and size. I'm unhappy with the complete lack of storage, lack of ability to remove unwanted apps that I won't I use. Half of my photos are blurry because the cameras stabilization is poor at best. The phone constantly tries to update all the unused apps, but as said already... No storage room for the updates to download. If I can't root this to get rid of the unwanted apps, this phone will become a paperweight. (Posted on 1/7/2015)
Crap Review by Deb
So because of the warranty clause AT&T sends me a "new" phone every few weeks seems my problem is it drops network randomly and no one can figure out why!! Do you have any idea what a pain it is every few weeks to rebuild a phone to make it your own. I hate this device and still have to wait a year before I'm eligible for an upgrade. So for the time being At&T will continue to deal with me. I won't even go into the storage issues, everyone else has addressed that enough! (Posted on 12/25/2014)
HATE IT Review by Kacey
I got rid of this phone the second day! You can't receive picture messages unless your data is turned on ALL the time. I never leave my data on all the time because that's how you run up your data. Your supposed to be able to retrieve your picture messages once you get notified you have a picture message, well it doesn't even tell you who sent you a picture message if your cellular data is off. I can not retrieve it once I turn my data on!! I click on the notification that I have an MMS message and it doesn't open and the (1) notification on your messaging app stays there and doesn't go away and never tells you who sent you a picture message! This phone is junk. I wont ever purchase a ZTE phone again! (Posted on 12/14/2014)
