I've had my phone for three months now. So far it seems to function ok. Granted at first it was glitchy but ever since system update by metro pcs phone has been functioning a lot better and lots of glitches gone now. Love the screen size battery life and cameras. I agree this phone should have been built with at least 3GB of ram instead of 2GB. Also love the storage in the phone. Keep improving ZTE and I'll keep buying.☺️ (Posted on 3/18/2018)
I bought this phone brand new from Metro PCS. Everytime I buy a ZTE phone from metro seems like I always get a defective device. It constantly restarts itself. I have tried factory reset twice. I will NEVER shop with ZTE again. Seems like they don't have a problem sending out defective device to mobile carriers, and I refuse to spend almost 200 dollars for a crappy buggy device ever again. So i wanted to get this phone on sale because 1. It was with MetroPCS 2. It has a good quality Camera in some aspect's. 3. The Battery life rocks!
Now here are my issues. 1. Notifications come in super late and do not work right. 2. Facebook being Preinstalled is a major blow to the phone's inner software 3. The Text Messaging Part is so bad that it glitches every minute and every day and can't even download photo's correctly. It makes the phone run extremely slow and not operable at time's. I have been wanting an 8 core cpu phone for a while & I had my eyes on this model for many months & had heard good things about it. It has a nice look, lots of internal space for pictures & apps, and I loved that it has a fingerprint reader to keep people out who might have noticed your pass as you typed it in. It was on sale for $99.98 at my local MetroPCS & because my Samsung Galaxy On5 never had enough space for apps & what not I figured it was time for a change so I bought this phone.
1). 32GB internal space which has about 21GB free from start before you do any updates or changes to anything. Still a good bit of internal space compared to most phones.
2). Nice 1080p supported display with dual cameras on the selfie cam for better quality, and a normal on the outer side.
3). Easier to take screen shots then some phones are just holding the power + volume down buttons together which took me a while to figure out.
4). Battery life is insanely long which is great being I can take a lot of pictures with the flash & it hardly makes any difference on the battery unlike other models of phones I have used in the past. I can also use things like FB & FB Messenger for hours & still have a good 90% of my battery off a full charge.
1). I am always getting messages about not having enough memory free to be able to upload a single image to my photo gallery which I could do up to 30 pictures at a time with on my old On5's. No matter what browser I use I just can not do it even after a factory reset because between the bloatware & other stuff running in the background my system ram is always used up to 1.4 or 1.4GB of the 1.8GB the phone offers, so its impossible to get any real use from anything with this phone. Why would you put so much garbage on a phone with so much internal memory & so little ram? This phone needs at least 3-4GB of memory, such a waste.
2). Random freezes where my phone become completely unresponsive. I literally have to hold the power button until it restarts, which I should not have to do.
3). Fingerprint Reader option requires that you use a second type of pass code, pattern, or password. This kind of defeats the purpose of the fingerprint reader for me, because if someone figures out your pass code then whats the point of the fingerprint?
These are my main 3 problems with this phone. Unfortunately a refund is not an option, or I would get a refund & never buy another ZTE phone. It was against my better judgement to not buy a better known name brand that I knew I could be proud of & trust. Now I am out of the money I wasted, and stuck with a phone that is completely useless to me for what I wanted it for. I think the thing I like most about the phone is the battery life, and the internal space. I really wish ZTE would offer me some type of exchange or compensation because I feel cheated on the low memory error I always get & being I bought the phone most for its camera, my photo gallery, and the internal space I am at a serious loss here. Phone freezes out of no where. Apps don't works most of the time. This phone is straight garbage. Don't get it. On paper it's nice, the price is nice, but get a phone that works instead. This thing will make you throw it against a wall within a month so don't waste your time with this hot mess. (Posted on 12/21/2017)

I have never owned a ZTE phone. I switched from straight talk to Metro PCs. Best move I've ever made. I ported my phone number and got this ZTE Blade Zmax phone for free. This is the best phone I've ever owned and I've owned alot of them. A+++++ (Posted on 12/7/2017)
