I started out with a phone from one of those free phone service programs for low income and over 65yrs. The phone I was supplied with was, poc. I could not hear the person I was talking to and they could not hear me. Then I happened onto ZTE while searching for a replacement. The Axon 7 mini was the one I picked. The sound I awesome and the people I am talking to have no problems hearing me.
Please keep this model around. A replicable battery would be the only upgrade I could think of. (Posted on 3/23/2018)
This was my first experience at buying an unlocked phone. At a quarter of the price of the phones at the store, I thought I couldn't go wrong (I'm not a heavy user). However, I cannot keep a network connection to ATT. I live in a very suburban area with strong network signals. However, I'm without a network connection at least 1/3 of the day. It's very frustrating when texts don't come through or send for hours and people tell me they have called, but no call has ever come through. I'd stay away--I wish I could return the phone, but it seems i'm stuck with it. Spent $200 on what will eventually end up in the trash can when I finally get tired of dealing with it. Have had so many problems with this phone. cant get parts (cracked screen fixed) anywhere but sending it to ZTE to get fixed which takes 3 or more weeks start to finish. and extremely limited accessories online at ebay or amazon, you have to go through ZTE. They have made it so they are the only suppliers for parts and accessories for the phone and its a HASSLE. And when you ask them about lack of accessibility their answer is " thats our policy". I like my phone however I have sent 2 mails regarding Nougat update and no response. Called customer support and they PASSED THE BUCK and could not answer any question about Nougat update. This is why I will not consider another ZTE product (Posted on 7/12/2017)
