Phone DEAD after 5 months gets very hot Review by Robert
I purchased the phone 5 months ago along with a axon 7 it is still working great but the AXON gets hot all the time I used it occasionally and have not activated and just died after 5 Months of very little use I had not even activated it with a phone company yet, warranty very confusing customer service confused also told need my credit card info but will not charge then told it would cost me 79.95 for the repair and to get my phone quick the told had to put 2 holds on my credit card
talked to two different customer service reps finally sent it in with there prepaid label but was told I had to pay shipping one way and they would get back with mr after they receive it in case i owe any money not covered for repair. NOT HAPPY WITH ALL THE CONFUSION (Posted on 1/28/2017)

Awesome Phone Review by FRod2010
6 months review with the ‪ZTE‬ ‪AxonPro‬.

When I first received the phone it came perfectly boxed with full protection so I first thought oh boy this may be a flimsy phone.
o my surprise no it wasn't. I took it out and noticed the ‪JBL‬ headphones, wall charger and USB cable. It gave instructions to charge the phone first before proceeding with adding a SIM and setting up. Once the phone charged for about 4 hours, but was a lot faster than that, more like 30 minutes, I realized it was a fast charge setup for the battery. This was verified once I read through the documentation provided. It was a nice surprise to also read this: 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. I proceeded to add the SIM (‪Cricket‬) which is my main SIM. I powered on and the SIM automatically populated APN (Access Point Network) and quickly showed 4G LTE with full bars. Android 5.1.1 was fully installed and very stable. It is stock and no bloatware from a carrier as it is unlocked. It did have two apps that I disabled as I considered it unnecessary and for fitness enthusiasts Rock My Run and the Z card feature that gives you the ability to access certain apps even locked which I thought was unnecessary. I disabled it.Now to the meat and potatoes of the phone. In my hand it feels great and fits how I access it. I did change the recent apps and clear buttons to the opposite configuration as it works better for me and I had gotten used to it from my former phone the Ulefone BePro.
Screen is clear and bright, even though I went ahead and set it to adaptive. 4GB RAM does make a difference as everything was smooth to access and fast to launch. While setting up my accounts I noticed that the phone overheats.

****All robust phones have this issue even the well known brands we are used to in the US, methods to resolve the overheat is to stop using it for about 5 to 10 minutes and use apps like CoolerMaster to assist in cooling****Speaker is audible and very clear even at high volume, some distortion, but not very noticeable. Using the headphones it gives you the ability to listen to music or to use as a headset extension. I haven't had to use this feature so I have not verified if this is truly a capability. I read this on the forum a few months ago. Needless to say the audio output is great and clear with full sound.Rear camera is a double with 13MP main and 2MP for depth, BSI CMOS Sensor, 6 Elements Lens + Dual LED Flash. Combined this camera takes awesome pictures. Zooming in can become grainy, but still fairly clear. What I have done is set the camera to take photos about zoom x2 and has worked very well for clarity. Video it takes full HD and is great you can almost film a movie with it because of how well it captures video 4K HD (30 fps). Just my opinion, but definitely great for You Tubers. Selfie camera is 8MP and it does very well it is as expected. Built in camera app does the job perfectly.***Side Mention, I also tested this phone with ‪TING‬ GSM SIM and it also populated correctly APN and service was quick to set up, Cricket is AT&T and the TING GSM SIM is T-Mobile.***The main turn off for me on this phone is that the storage is not expandable and is only 32GB minus the space used for the ROM if you purchase the 32 Gb version there is a 64GB Version. No finger Print Scanner or bio-metric eye unlock unlike its upgrade and European counterpart the Axon Elite, but this one only has 3GB RAM and does not have 4G LTE capabilities in the US.

****I just saw the Axon Lux and this is the upgrade to the Elite as it has the Dual Sims, Fingerprint/ Biometric capabilities and the 4GB RAM. Still unfortunately will not have 4G frequencies for the US.**** It is currently running Android 6.0 with a recent OTA and it was applied without issue. There are a few quirks as every version of Android has some and they have been reported.***Real plus is the ‪Passport‬ feature 2.0 which entails upgrades for two years and limited replacement for damage. I do recommend this phone for the more savvy user, but is perfect for the novice and someone transitioning from a different OS to Android. Now with Marshmallow it makes it perfect. I hope you found this informative and I thank you for your time. (Posted on 4/15/2016)
This is not my first ZTE phone. I've been a fan a couple years and most of those were not offered in the USA. ZTE u get a lot of phone for ur money. They'll r really good at putting 5.5" + size screens in phones but feel great in 1 hand. The Axon / Pro profile takes to another level. It just feels / fits great in ur hand and the screen in the Axon A1 is not bad ar all. I'm setting mine 40% whether im outside in direct light, inside or at night and works well. Additionally, the colors this screen produces are very amoled like.. . Also, ZTE's s android going kitkat. 4.4.4 run very well, smooth and it b doesnt bog dow. Or lag!! The Axon. runs great , right out o the box. Now there mustt reason. As gee (Posted on 12/9/2015)
Awesome phone all the way Review by Joe aka flewpastu
My current phone is the HTC ONE M8 HK on Sprint and is rooted but works great.... Then I won my Axon in blue. I consider myself a major music fan which is why my other phone was the ONE M8 Harmon Kardon in the 1st place but when I recieved the Axon I was immediately blown away by the sound quality. The build quality is impressive and the UI is clean and buttery smooth. I had only had it for a short while before being notified of a system update so i did the update n all went smooth I had not had a chance to use the camera before the update but I recently was out with my daughter n took a few outdoor and well lit indoor shots and again I am very impressed with the image quality that blows my M8 away which also has the extra depth camera sensor
Not having expandable storage is a small let down but 24 useable gigs out of the box of still quite alot and with all the cloud storage options out it's not that big of a deal to me plus I purchased a 32gb USB OTG drive for easy file swapping to PC or other phones and even my truck

The battery life is exceptional for me with moderate to heavy use as I can't put this thing down since I got it abd the screen quality of superior when watching Netflix

The wifi certainly seems stronger than any device I have when set to 5ghz only, I have a strong connection at the back of my house where all my other devices have to be set back to 2.4 Ghz in order to connect as there 5.0 Ghz just won't reach

I was hoping to able to root this phone but as it is now android pay or any other nfc payments will not work on rooted devices so it's no longer a concern of mine plus there's no bloat ware to be concerned of and any apps you don't want can at least be turned off and the phone is still pretty customizable

Overall I am extremely pleased with this phone and will probably be getting another AXON for my Samsung galaxy loving wife (Posted on 10/18/2015)

Works right out of the Box Review by Fernando
After winning my Axon Pro, I went ahead and upgraded my phone from the UleFone Be Pro that has a MediaTek Quadcore processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 4G connectivity but because of the frequencies here in the US it only works at 3G. My Axon as soon as I placed my SIM in, it ported everything from Cricket over when with the UleFone I had to program the MMS configurations and APN. My Axon right out the box functioned well as the UleFone Be Pro had ROM issues with the latest leaving bad sound no MiraVision and some incompatabilies. Now with the announcement and release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, because of the Snapdragon processor's code not being held hostage unlike MediaTek's should make any upgrades smooth, if and when an OTA is released. My friends are all jealous as their Samsung's, iPhones, LG's are tied to two year contracts, very expensive and have bloatware, as mine is specked out with 4GB RAM, minimal no bloatware ROM, 32GB for storage and works on Cricket which is AIO or AT&T. Phone calls are clear and last unlike the UleFone that it's screen goes black and to wake up hangs up the call or overheats. I will say this, when first using the Axon, begin as a new phone and refrain from importing your settings from a former phone as some of the settings are incompatible. Other than that the Axon is good to go. I have and am enjoying my Axon. (Posted on 10/11/2015)

Love my gold Axon Review by Glenn
I had this phone since early August . I love it . Music sounds good . Performance never lagged yet. I love using the Bluetooth . I get a lot of compliments on the design I have the gold ion. Storage has been great now that I stream my music. I usually keep my phones only for 6 months because but I'm going to hang on to this until the Axon 2 comes out. (Posted on 10/6/2015)

    Fault Diagnosis & Solution

Why does the phone produce network traffic when opening the data connection?

The phone and the network server exchange information when data is enabled. The phone sends a request to the network server and the network server requests confirmation information to build a connection with the phone. This interaction is network traffic, usually only a few kilobytes (KB). For the exact amount of data exchanged, consult the service provider’s information.

What can I do if I hear an echo in a call?

Try: - Adjusting the volume during the call. - Asking if the other party is using the speakerphone, an earphone, or vehicle mounted device. If so, ask them to switch to the phone to continue the conversation. Poor reception and local network can also affect the call.
