What do I do if the mobile phone cannot receive and transmit messages?

  1. Check whether the signal is normal, if the mobile phone has no signal or the signal is weak, please take the mobile phone to a place where the signal is strong to test again.
  2. View the memory space of mobile phone to check whether the mobile phone has enough space to receive messages, if not, please clean up the space.
  3. Make sure you are using the complete telephone number to send messages. Moreover, please check whether the number of message center is normal. You can contact local operator for more details about the number of the message center.

What do I do if the mobile phone cannot receive or transmit a MMS?

  1. Check whether the MMS settings are normal: Settings--Wireless & Network--Mobile network--Access point name. If the mobile phone has no access point information, please manually add the APN information. You should contact local operator for details.
  2. Check whether the signal is normal. If the mobile phone has no signal or the signal is weak, please take the mobile phone to a place where the signal is strong to test again.
  3. View the memory space of mobile phone to check whether the mobile phone has enough space to receive message, if not, please clear up space. You can enter into Settings----Storage to check the internal storage space and the status of the SD card.

What do I do if I cannot make or receive calls?

  1. Check whether the signal is normal. If the mobile phone has no signal or the signal is weak, please take the mobile phone to a place where the signal is strong to test again. 2. Check whether Airplane mode is enabled. If so, please hold the Power key to enter into option list to disable Airplane mode. 3. You can restore factory settings to test whether the fault still occurs.

Can I disable the blinking indicator in the back key when the mobile phone has missed calls or unread messages?

The indicator is mainly used for reminding about missed calls and unread messages, so only when you check the unread messages or missed calls will the indicator turn off.Therefore, it cannot be turned off manually.

How do I put the mobile phone into flight mode?

To get into Airplane mode:
  1. Please hold the power key until option list appears on the screen, then choose Airplane mode
  2. Menu key——Settings——Wireless & Network——Then checkmark the box for Airplane mode.

How do I set multiple phone numbers for a single contact?

Please make sure that your contacts are stored in the memory of the mobile phone or your Google account. (This function doesn't support the contacts that are stored in SIM/UIMS card). To set multiple phone numbers for single contact, please pressContactson home screen, choose the contact which you want to add data, then press Edit contact and press + to add phone number. Note: You can also add new Email, mailing address and other detail data.

How do I add or delete multiple contacts?

You can add or delete contacts in batch via the associated Gmail account: Enter into Gmail account of the mobile phone via PC, then edit, add or delete contacts in contacts of Gmail and sync the contacts.

How do I use shortcut keys?

Android system has following shortcut keys:
  1. Home key: You can hold HOME key to export the latest used 6-8 applications and set the current applications running in the background.
  2. Volume key: You can hold the volume down key to turn down the volume to the lowest, including into vibration mode.

Can I answer a call via the headset?

Yes, you can.

How do I move or delete the icons on a home screen?

You can tap and hold the icon that you want to move over 2 seconds until you can feel the mobile phone vibrate slightly, then you can drag the icon to the trash can on the lower part of the screen to delete the icon. You can also move the icon from menu to home screen.

How do I customize the arrangement of icons on the home screen?

On the home screen, press and hold a blank area of the home screen for 2 seconds until a list appears including Shortcuts, ZTE Widgets, folders and Wallpapers. Choose the item to add to home screen. Also you can press and hold an icon over 2 seconds until you can feel the mobile phone vibrate slightly, then you can drag it to a new place.

How do I add pages to the mobile phone?

Click Menu key to enter into Personalization——Screen, then you can add pages.

How do I add folders to the mobile phone?

To add folders in the mobile phone:
  1. You can add folders on home screen:
Please hold the blank of home screen for about 2seconds untilan option listappears, choose folders——New folders to create a new folder. Hold the folder title for 2seconds to modify the folder name. Then you can subsequently place other applications in this folder.
  1. Add folder in MicroSD card
Press All applications——filer——Menu key——New directory——Enter the directory name and press OK. Note 1: All applications are a square icon on the straight bottom of home screen. Note 2: You can create new folder in MicroSD card, butyou cannot create new folder in system directory, as the system directory is protected.

Can I dial three-way calling (Multi-way calling)?

Yes. First, please contact your telecom operator to enable services such as Call waiting and Three-way calling. After enabling the service, please refer to the following process to enable the service. Suppose that, Party A, Party B and Party C need to call each other, A is the call initiator, B and C are waiting for the calling.
  1. A initiates a call with B,
  2. A presses the Menu key on the calling interface to open the call menu. Touch Add talk, then another dialing interface of the mobile phone will appear, Here A can make an additional call with C on this dialing interface.
  3. When A is calling C, B will be on hold.
  4. After A connects with C, A will open the Menu interface again, and click Combine talk, then A, B, and C can talk with each other.
Note1: For three-way (multi-way) calling, maybe you need to pay extra fees, you need to make a confirmation with your telecom operator.

How do I dial or save the phone number which a SMS was sent from?

To dial or save the phone number that is transmitted by SMS or email, please enter into home screen and press All applications——SMS.Open the message which includes the phone number, then choose the phone number to save as contacts.

How do I send a SMS or Email to a group?

To send a SMS or Email to a contact group, you must setup the contacts saved in the mobile phone or Gmail account as a group list. Step 1: Create and edit group Enter into home screen and press All applications——Contacts——Groups——Create new group or add the relevant contacts to the newly created group. Step 2: Click Message on the right of group name, choose the contacts that you need to send message and checkmark the box, then press OK and send the message. Or you can enter into home screen and press All applications——Messages——New message, click the icon of Receiver and choose Groups, then choose the contacts that you need to send the message.Checkmark the box, and press OK, then edit and send the message.

How do I forward messages on the mobile phone?

Please press and hold the message to be forwarded for 2 seconds until a menu appears. Choose Forward to enter into the option list of forwarding message, then select the recipient to whom the message will be forwarded.

How do I add a Google account to the mobile phone?

To add Google account: Method 1: The mobile phone will automatically notify you to input Google account to bind with the mobile phonethe first time you use the mobile phone. Method 2: If the mobile phone isn't associated with a Google account the first time you use the mobile phone, you can refer to following operations to add Google account: Menu key——Settings——Accounts & Sync——Add account.

How do I back up and restore the contacts of the mobile phone?

  1. You can import/export contacts to a SIM card or SD card:
Open Contacts-->Menu key-->Import/Export-->choose either Import/Export and choose the target that you need to import/export.
  1. You can sync contacts with Gmail account.
Menu key-->Settings-->Accounts & Sync-->Choose the Gmail account that you need to sync with-->Sync contacts (Please make sure your mobile phone is connected with network).

How do I restore to factory settings?

You can solve many issues by restoring to factory settings. Open settings-->Privacy-->Factory data reset. Then press OK to start restoring to factory settings. The process will take about 3 minutes. The mobile phone will restart after is has restored successfully. If your mobile phone stops on the Logo image for a long time with no response, please remove the battery, then install battery again to power on the device. Note: The time to power on device will be a little longer after restored factory setting, so please be patient.

What do I do if the talk quality is poor?

  1. Validate if the network signal is normal. if the mobile phone has no signal or the signal is weak, please attempt to move the mobile phone to a place where the signal is stronger. 2. Ensure you have adjusted the volume to proper level during a voice call.

What do I do if the volume of headset is low or the sound quality is poor?

  1. Replug the headset to check whether the headset is closely connected with mobile phone. 2. Press volume up key to turn up the volume of headset. 3. If there is volume controller on headset, please turn up the volume of headset. 4. Replace with other headset to test again.

What do I do if the voice call has an echo?

  1. Please turn down the volume to proper degree. 2. Check whether the other side is using speaker, headset or other vehicle-mounted device, if so ,please ask the other side to switch to talk by mobile phone. 3. This fault also may be caused by the local network condition.

How do I change the incoming call ringtone?

To set the incoming call ringtone:
  1. Enter into home screen, press Menu key——Settings——Sound——(Incoming call) Phone ringtone. Choose the ringtone that you want to set from list, then touch OK.
  2. You can also directly set an MP3 as a ringtone. Copy the MP3 to a music folder of the mobile phone SD card, then enter into the home screen and press All applications——File Manager.Enter into the directory which has the MP3, hold the music file that you want to set as incoming call ringtone, then choose "Use as incoming call ringtone". You can also set an MP3 as the phone ringtone or a contact ringtone.
Note: We recommend to convert your audio files as mp3 or wmv format before storing in music folder.

To set the incoming call ringtone for specific contacts, please enter into home screen and press All applications——Contacts——Choose the specific contacts that you want to set incoming call ringtone for——Menu——Options——Ringtone.

To set your music MP3 as alarm ringtone, please create a new folder on the root directory of micro SD card and name the folder as alarm (Full lower case); then copy MP3 that you want to this folder; all songs or music files stored in alarm folder willbe automatically added to available alarm ringtone list of mobile phone. To enable alarm clock: All applications——Alarm, then click menu—Options—Default alarm—Ringtone to choose the ringtone that you want. Note 1: All applications are a square icon on the straight lower of home screen. Note 2: The MP3 which is in alarms folder won't appear in the music player. Note 3: We recommend converting the audio files as mp3 or wmv format before storing in alarms folder.

How do I quickly silence the incoming call ringtone and enable the vibrator alert?

To quickly disable incoming call ringtone and enable vibration mode, please press volume down key until the mobile phone vibrates and the displayed volume is zero. Alternatively, you can also slide the sound icon to specific location on original screen locking status so that the mobile phone gets into silent mode. Note: If you have enabled Pattern lock function, you can’t set silent mode by sliding the sound icon.

What do I do if the mobile phone cannot take the pictures?

  1. Check whether a SD card has been installed in the mobile phone because the mobile phone cannot enable camera function without a SD card. 2. Check whether the SD card is compatible with the mobile phone and make sure the SD card has enough storage space. 3. Replace the SD card to check whether the camera function is normal.

Can I use the flash when taking videos?

No.

Can the camera automatically detect the settings which fits best for a particular lighting condition?

Yes. After enabling camera function, you can set White balance as Auto, then the camera will automatically detect the lighting condition and adjust the brightness.

Where are the pictures and videos saved? Can I customize the saving path?

The pictures and videos are saved in :/sdcard/DCIM/Camera, you can find them via File Manager of all applications, or you can connect the mobile phone to PC, then view them via Removable disk. Note: Generally, if the mobile phone has no MicroSD card (TF) card, you can’t use the mobile phone to take the pictures and videos.

How can I improve the standby performance?

You can save power and maximize the standby time with following settings: 1. You can disable the GPS function: The operation is :Settings——Location&security——Use GPS satellites (Remove √). 2.You can disable the data connection function if you don't need to log onto the Internet; The operation is: Settings——Wireless&Network——Mobile network——Data enabled(Remove √). 3.You may also save power and improve the speed of programs by disabling the applications which you are not using via the Task manager.

What do I do if the battery cannot be charged fully?

Generally the battery will release bits of electricity after fully charged, then the battery return to be charged again. This action is to protect battery and extend battery life, therefore, the charging display may be less than 100%. To check the battery status: Please press Menu--Settings--About phone--Status, then you can view the Battery status and Battery level

There are two ways to share the network connection with other devices; one is to use USB, the other is to use the mobile phone as portable Wi-Fi hotspot. Make sure the mobile phone has available wireless data connection, otherwise you cannot use these functions. 1.USB tethering: To share the network connection with a computer via USB, please connect the mobile phone to a computer through a USB data cable. Please ensure that data is enabled. Then enter into the home screen of mobile phone. Press Menu——Settings——Wireless&networks——Tethering——Check √ for【USB tethering】. Then the mobile phone will then start to share the network connection with the computer. To stop sharing the network connection, please removethe √ under USB data connection, or disconnect the mobile phone from the computer. How do I use WiFi?

To use WiFi:
  1. Enter into Settings-->Wireless & Network-->WiFi settings

Does the phone's WLAN conection disconnect with the network when the mobile phone goes into sleep mode?

WLAN will automatically disconnect with the network during sleep mode, but it will reconnect to original access point when the mobile phone turns on.

How do I set a static IP address for WiFi?

To set static IP address: Menu key-->Settings-->Wireless & Network -->SelectWiFi ---> WiFi Settings-->Menu-->Advanced-->select Use static IP -->Input the correct parameter

How do I save the network traffic of the mobile phone?

  1. You can disable the data connection to prevent producing unnecessary network traffic when you don't need to log in Internet. Settings—Wireless & Network---Mobile networks—Remove the checkmark off of Data enabled.
  2. Close Auto Sync:
The auto sync function is enabled by default,if you have updated the data of Gmail, Calendar, contacts and other applications, this data will be automatically synced to the Google server, which may produce large amounts of network traffic. Settings——Account & Sync, choose your account and disable sync. When you need to sync the data, you can enable sync with above operations.

How many simultaneous Bluetooth devices can the mobile phone connect with? How many simultaneous Bluetooth devices can the mobile phone transfer data with?

Theoretically there is no limit on the number of connected Bluetooth device, but the mobile phone can transfer data with only one Bluetooth device at a time.

How do I transfer data via Bluetooth?

First please enter into Settings---Wireless & Network---Bluetooth to connect your mobile phone with another mobile phone.Select the file that you need to transfer, then click Menu key and select Send the file via Bluetooth.

Why can't other mobile phone/computers search for my mobile phone even though my Bluetooth is enabled?

How do I install applications from a Micro SD card?

Generally ,there ware two ways to install applications from the Micro SD card: 1.You can download and install applications via【AppStore】:When you finished installing applications which are downloaded from 【AppStore】, the default installation directory of this software is in ROM of mobile phone instead of the SD card, please move this application to the SD card with the following operations: Settings——applications——Manage applications——choose the newly installed application——Move to the SD card. 2. You can install applications via the third party PC software. By this method, you can choose the installation directory before installing applications. Note 1: Not all applications can be moved to the SD card; Note 2: After the application is moved to the SD card, there will still be few program files left on RAM of mobile phone. Note 3: With regard to the third party PC software, please contact software supplier for more details.

How do I use the mobile phone as a U disk? Do I need to install a driver?

To use the mobile phone as an U disk, please connect mobile phone with USB data cable, click Menu--Notification--USB connected, then click Turn on USB storage to enter into U disk mode, make sure the mobile phone has SD card. You don't need to install a driver.

What do I do if the audio/video files cannot play or be viewed?

Please check whether the files are compatible with mobile phone, because the Android platform cannot support all file formats.

How do I turn on USB debug?

To turn on USB debug, please enter into Settings--Applications--Development, then checkmark for USB debugging.

How do I view the running applications and disable applications I no longer need on the mobile phone?

To view the running applications of your mobile phone: All applications——Task manager. There you can disable the applications which you don't use.

May I delete the built-in applications (Operator customized)?

Generally the built-in operator customized applications cannot be deleted. So far some the third party applications of products (Not customized by operator) can be deleted, the users can enter into application management options to modify them.

How do I erase the browsing logs of the browser?

To delete the browsing logs, please press All applications——Metro WEB——Menu——More——Settings——Privacy settings——Clear history.

How do I create and view multiple browsing windows?

Enter into the home screen and press All applications——Browser——Menu>1. New window to build new window;2. Window to check the current running windows.

After setting the default browser as a third party browser, how do I revert back to the original built-in browser?

Enter into Settings-- Applications—find the third party browser, then click Clear data.

How do I install compatible applications in my mobile phone?

As Android operating system is an open-source operating system, you can directly search and download the application that you want from AppStore of mobile phone.

How do I enable auto-update of applications?

To enable the auto-update for applications which you downloaded from AppStore, please enter into home screen and press All applications——AppStore——Menu key——My applications. When an application list appears, choose the application which you want to enable auto-update and checkmark for Allow auto-update.

How do I uninstall applications on an Android mobile phone?

You can enter into Settings——About phone——System updates——Software Updates.If the mobile phone has this menu, then the mobile phone supports FOTA upgrade function.

How do I upgrade the software version via FOTA update?

Press Menu key--Settings--About phone--System software update.The mobile phone will connect to the sever to check whether the mobile phone has the latest version.If so,the mobile phone will notify you that the mobile phone has the latest version, if not, the mobile phone will notify that the mobile phone has an available update.You then need to download update according to the subsequent prompt.In order to save network traffic, the mobile phone only allows you to download an update package with a Wi-Fi connection.

What do I do if I forgot the unlocking pattern?

  1. You can reset password via the associated Gmail account. If you continuously input a wrong password 5 times, the mobile phone will notify you to reset the password. You need to click the prompt and input the associated Gmail account information and input the Gmail account password to log into the account. Then the mobile phone will notify you to reset the password. After you have logged in, you no may reset the unlocking pattern (Note: You need to connect your mobile phone with a wireless network and associate your Gmail account with the mobile phone). This method is more complex, but it can save the user data. 2.You can input *983*987# in emergency call dialing pad to restore factory settings. This method is easier but the user data will be erased.

Can I set other locking methods for the mobile phone other than the locking pattern?

Yes, there are three methods of locking the screen. To set screen lock, please access home screen and press Menu key——Settings——Location& Security——Set screen lock. The available screen lock methods are as follows:
  1. Pattern - Set screen lock pattern according to the prompt on the LCD.
  2. PIN code - Set one group of code which includes at least 4 digits.
  3. Password - Set one group of password which includes letters and/or numbers.
Note: If you forgot your screen unlock process/password, you may need to reset firmware.

How can I set the password as invisible?

To set the password as invisible: Press Menu key——Settings——Security & Location——(Password), then remove the checkmark off of Visible passwords.
