This is a solid phone Review by droidguru72
Product
I have owned this device about 1 year now. The phone has very sufficient specs for everyday use, including a 1.5GHz dual core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4.5" display, micro SD card slot, and more. This phone has been stress tested through several incidents that would destroy many of it's peers, but it continues to function. It is a very solid, durable phone that consistently performs. I can confirm the ease of gaining root access and installing a custom CWM based recovery. The cons? No custom roms to speak of, currently stuck in time at 4.0.4. Very little in the way of development efforts or documentation. This is a great phone, but it won't break any benchmarks. Overall, an excellent budget phone. Would I buy ZTE again? I'm about to get a ZMax so yes, I would and I will. (Posted on 3/27/2015)

Not worth the money as cheap as it is Review by j

I know Android phones well, and there is no way to have the phone use the actual SD card as storage for apps, media and cache files.

The operating system seems to emulate a fake "SD card" and store things on the phone's internal memory still. This causes everything to slow down, and I can't simply download new apps. It often tells me there isn't enough memory to download something. So, it doesn't recognize the SD card I physically put in as a storage device, but it still reads the music and video files copied onto it.

The screen broke easily with one short drop to the floor. I've had many phones, and never seen such a fragile setup.

Signal is weak most of the time, and I live near the center of three towers. Makes no sense.

Battery dies quickly, even after a healthy habit of charging correctly, and started holding charge for less and less time after a couple months.

There are far better phones, even for the same price range as this model.

Absolutely nothing exceptional about this phone. It stinks. (Posted on 12/27/2014)

Keeps dying Review by Indiana Consumer
Product
After 2 months and normal use, the phone could not wake up from power savings mode anymore unless the battery was removed. Had to send it in (and pay shipping). Received it back as repaired. About 3 weeks later the screen suddenly showed white vertical line which moved when icons were move, clearly a software issue. Again, phone was sent it (had to pay shipping again), received it back. Worked another 2 weeks, then it sometimes would turn itself off, when turned on, the screen remained dark, unless the battery was removed first. I gave the phone away. Terrible.
